Old Dutch Distillers

Gleaming kettles and a listed building in which the glorious history of generations of gin distillers is chiseled into the facade. With a gulp, and as time goes on, the story gets more and more beautiful. It is actually a success story as well, but it all began a little less grandly than described above.

Herman de Jong – Old Dutch – starts behind an old mill distilling Vodka and Genever in a cauldron he lovingly patched up. There lie the roots of Old Dutch Distillers. Started small, in a drafty shed in Rotterdam. Without capital and without airs and graces, but with the firm conviction that everything you put your heart and soul into is so much better, nicer and tastier than standard spirits. You can taste that passion from the first hour in all of Old Dutch Distillers’ products.
